The Action Group for Palestinians for Syrian confirmed the deaths of 252 Palestinian refugee children in Syria as a result of war incidents.
The list of casualties includes 70 children who died as a result of the siege put on the Palestinian refugee camp of Yarmouk, south of Damascus, by the Syrian government forces and their armed allies.
AGPS also reported that 48 Palestinian minors were secretly detained in Syrian government jails, where two children died under torture.
Thousands of children have become orphans after losing one or both of their parents in a deadly war.
Syria's fighting has had traumatic effects for Palestinian refugee children in and outside Syria. Among Palestinian children from Syria, post-traumatic stress disorders, mental psychosis, sleeplessness and nightmares, eating disorders and extreme fear have been documented.
