Aliyu Abdulhameed Abbati mni, frontline APC senatorial aspirant for the Adamawa Central Senatorial District, has congratulated the three House of Representatives candidates who emerged from the party’s recently concluded primaries across the zone, describing their victories as a reflection of delegate confidence and a foundation for broader APC consolidation ahead of 2027.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Abbati specifically named Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad, who won the APC ticket for the Yola North, Yola South and Girei Federal Constituencies; Ambassador James Barka, winner of the Hong/Gombi Federal Constituency primary; and Hon. Aliyu Wakili Boya, who secured the party’s ticket for the Fufore/Song Federal Constituency.

“On behalf of my family, supporters and political associates, I warmly congratulate Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad, Ambassador James Barka and Hon. Aliyu Wakili Boya on their well-deserved victories at the APC House of Representatives primaries,” Abbati stated. “Their emergence is not only a victory for their constituencies but also for the APC family in Adamawa Central and the state at large.”

He described the three candidates as possessing the experience, capacity, and grassroots connection required to provide effective representation and deliver the dividends of democracy to their respective constituencies, expressing confidence that each would articulate the aspirations of the people and contribute meaningfully to national development.

The congratulatory statement also served as a vehicle for a broader message about post-primary unity. Abbati called on all aspirants and their supporters to rally behind the party’s candidates in the collective interest of victory and development, stressing that internal cohesion would be critical to the APC’s success across all elective positions in Adamawa State in the general elections.

He noted that the successful conduct of the primaries demonstrated growing unity and democratic spirit within the APC in Adamawa State, framing the outcomes as evidence of a party strengthening rather than fracturing under the pressure of a competitive primary season.

Abbati reaffirmed his personal commitment to working with all stakeholders and candidates of the party toward collective victory, positioning himself not merely as a senatorial aspirant advancing his own ticket but as a party actor invested in the full electoral slate.

The statement confirms the identities of all three APC House of Representatives candidates for the Adamawa Central zone: Salihijo for Y2G, Barka for Hong/Gombi, and Boya for Fufore/Song. Together with whoever emerges from the APC senatorial primary for Adamawa Central, these three will form the party’s legislative ticket for the zone in 2027.

Abbati’s senatorial primary contest remains ahead. His congratulatory statement signals that he intends to arrive at that primary as a unifying rather than a divisive force within the party structure.
