Adamawa CP Orders State CID to Investigate Waltandi Herders-Farmers Clash

Adamawa CP Orders State CID to Investigate Waltandi Herders-Farmers Clash

Yola, 27th October 2024 — The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, PSC (+), has directed the Homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Yola to take over the investigation into the recent clash between herders and farmers in Waltandi.

The violent altercation, which occurred on 27th October, 2024, led to the loss of lives and destruction of property.

CP Morris expressed deep sadness over the tragic incident, acknowledging the grief and suffering of the affected community.

He reassured the people of Song Local Government Area and the Adamawa State Government that the perpetrators of this violence would be swiftly brought to justice.

In response to the unrest, the Commissioner has also ordered the immediate deployment of additional security personnel to restore calm and prevent further violence.
