Adamawa Police Force Celebrates Major Promotion: 110 Officers Rise to New Ranks
The Adamawa State Police Command has recently held a vibrant ceremony to celebrate the promotion of 110 officers. This event marked a proud moment for the officers, their families, and the entire local law enforcement community.
The ceremony, which was attended by family members, friends, and well-wishers, was officiated by Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, Psc (+). He personally decorated the officers with their new ranks during the celebration. According to a press release by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahala Nguroje, the promotions highlight the hard work and dedication of the officers over the years.
Among the most notable promotions were those of fifteen Superintendents of Police (SPs) who advanced to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP). Among the promoted were Alfred Future, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Numan, and Aliyu Minda, the DPO of Song. Other promoted officers include Inuwa Umar Alkali, DPO of Maiha, and Muhammed Yahaya Nuhu, DPO of Ganye, along with many others who lead various police divisions across Adamawa State.
The ceremony not only recognised the officers’ past achievements but also highlighted the new responsibilities that come with their elevated ranks. CP Dankombo Morris congratulated the officers and reminded them of the importance of maintaining high standards in their duties. “This promotion is not just a recognition of your past efforts but a challenge to uphold the values of the Nigeria Police Force,” CP Morris stated.
Additionally, eleven Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) were promoted to Superintendents of Police (SPs). Among the promoted were Abdulmajeed Dahiru, DPO of Mugulvu, and Mahdi Abubakar, DPO of Kiri. Another major group of 84 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) were elevated to the rank of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP).
The event underscored the continuous commitment to strengthening the police force and ensuring security in the region. In his speech, CP Dankombo Morris emphasised the importance of dedication and vigilance in the officers’ new roles. “Your promotion is a reflection of your hard work, but also a challenge to take on greater responsibilities in ensuring the safety and well-being of the people of Adamawa State,” he added.
On behalf of all the promoted officers, CSP Alfred Futuwe expressed gratitude towards the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, as well as the Police Service Commission and the Force Management team. He thanked them for their support and recognition. CSP Futuwe assured the IGP and the command of the officers’ commitment to their duties, emphasising their dedication, punctuality, and integrity in serving the Nigeria Police Force.
The ceremony concluded with a sense of optimism and renewed commitment to public safety. The newly promoted officers pledged to continue their mission of safeguarding the community, reinforcing the growing strength of the Adamawa State Police Command.
