SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the Police Public Relations Officer, described the operation as a bold step toward combating organized crime. He explained, that the suspect was neutralized during a gun duel with our operatives. The operation was carefully coordinated to address a rising threat.
The police targeted a known hideout of suspected kidnappers in the Ngurore area of Yola South Local Government Area. Acting on credible intelligence, the team moved swiftly to raid the location.
According to SP Nguroje, when the officers arrived, the criminals, armed with offensive weapons, tried to resist arrest. They opened fire to scare the team, but the gallant officers responded decisively leading to the killing of one suspect, while others managed to flee.
The Commissioner of Police in Adamawa State, CP Dankombo Morris, praised the operation’s courage and precision.
