Adamawa Police Crack Down on Violent Clash, Restore Peace in Two Communities
The Adamawa State Police Command has taken swift action to restore peace in Lamza and Kawa communities after a violent communal clash left properties destroyed. Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has directed a thorough investigation into the incident, which occurred on March 14, 2025. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Investigation, has been assigned to lead the probe and ensure justice is served.
SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the Police Public Relations Officer, disclosed this in an official statement, assuring residents that law enforcement is fully committed to maintaining order. He emphasized that the destruction caused by the clash deeply saddens the CP and has vowed that the perpetrators will face the full weight of the law.
“The Commissioner is assuring the government and the good people of Guyuk that justice will be served,” Nguroje stated. He added that officers have already been deployed to track down those responsible and bring them to justice. The presence of security personnel has helped in restoring calm in the affected areas.
Authorities are urging residents to cooperate with the investigation and report any suspicious activities that could escalate tensions further. The police command has also reiterated its commitment to preventing future conflicts by strengthening security measures in vulnerable areas.
