Kanye West is seeking joint legal and physical custody of his four children with Kim Kardashian.
According to the TMZ, the rapper's answer to Kardashian's February divorce filing is "basically a mirror image" of his estranged wife's petition. However, shared custody doesn't always imply a 50/50 division of North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 1.
Kardashian, 40, and West, 43, have decided not to seek spousal help from each other, which is an interesting if not completely surprising development considering the Grammy winner's spending habits and the reality star's recent recognition as a billionaire.
They will also be liable for their own legal costs, according to West.
Although the couple is co-parenting their twins, Page Six announced in March that they are no longer on speaking terms. When West visits the children, he has asked that Kardashian not accompany him, and even before Kim filed for divorce, Kanye changed his numbers and said, ‘You can contact me through my security†according to a source.
According to the source, West and Kardashian had a prenuptial agreement in place, which made their divorce "an straightforward case of 'You have your money and I'll keep mine.'"
