Ann Marie Arrested For Shooting Her ‘Side Dude’ In Head

RnB vocalist Ann Marie was arrested for shooting a man in Atlanta in the head.

On Dec. 2, Fulton County records reveal, the Chigaco-based musician, 25, was booked into prison and charged with possession of a firearm during felony commission and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

On Monday night, CBS 46 announced that the shooting happened at a Buckhead hotel on Dec. 1.

Responding officers located a 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, according to the police report published by the outlet.

The report said that when officers arrived, the man was receptive, but was later reported to be in critical condition.

The police said that Ann Marie reported that a gun had fallen off a table in the room going off and hitting the man.

Allegedly, she was very upset and kept asking the police if the victim was going to be all right.

It was also confirmed that after the shooting, the "Secret" singer was crying hysterically and had to be removed from the scene by police, who told her that she and the victim had grown up and were visiting Chicago together.

For her 2018 single "secret," which spent four weeks on the Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart in 2019, Ann Marie is best known, peaking at No. 22.
