Adamawa State, Nigeria – The All Progressives Congress (APC) Christian Youths in Adamawa State have called on party leaders, stakeholders, and members to uphold fairness, equity, and transparency in the upcoming state-wide congress.
In a statement issued by the State Coordinator, Ikur Edmund Helindendu, the group expressed appreciation to party stakeholders for their support in maintaining unity and progress within the APC over the years.
Helindendu said the youth wing expects the congress to be conducted in a just and credible manner that reflects the party’s democratic principles. “As committed members of the APC, we have contributed to strengthening the party’s structure and successes across the state. We call for a congress process that ensures confidence, unity, and collective ownership of outcomes,” the statement read.
The APC Christian Youths emphasized that equal opportunity for all members, regardless of background, is essential to sustaining the party’s strength in Adamawa State.
The statement also discouraged attempts to introduce religious divisions into party activities. “The APC remains a diverse and inclusive platform. Any attempt to create division along religious lines is unacceptable and undermines our shared goals,” Helindendu said.
Members were urged to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and focused on promoting unity, tolerance, and mutual respect during the congress. The youth wing concluded that a transparent and fair process would contribute to a stronger and more united APC in Adamawa State.
