In the summer transfer season, English clubs have less than a week to strengthen their squads, but Arsenal will be selling players out rather than bringing them in.

This summer, the Emirates spent almost £120 million on new signings, including £50 million on Ben White, £30 million on Martin Odegaard, and £24 million on Aaron Ramsdale, but Mikel Arteta's team is becoming fat.

This summer, a number of players have been linked with moves away from north London, and we look at seven of them who could yet depart before the deadline.

1. Hector Bellerin

Bellerin's desire to quit Arsenal is well known, with the Spaniard connected with a number of exit options for over a year, albeit nothing has materialized.

According to Football.London, Bellerin could be utilised as part of a swap deal that would bring Kieran Trippier to the Emirates from Atletico Madrid. However, the clock is ticking.

2. Lucas Torreira

Torreira's decline at Arsenal has been heartbreaking to see. After a brilliant debut season against Tottenham, it appeared as though he could have been the answer to the club's long-standing midfield problems.

However, this has not been the case. According to various sources, the Uruguayan is ready to return to Italy after joining from Sampdoria, and Fiorentina appear to be closing in on his signature. Even still, Arsenal fans will never forget THAT performance.

3. Ainsley Maitland-Niles

Last season, he was a good player for Arteta, who used him at right-back and in midfield before loaning him to West Brom, but it appears that the Spaniard is now eager to sell Maitland-Niles.

While there hasn't been much coverage of the player's interest, it has been revealed that the Gunners offered him to Leicester as part of a deal to bring James Maddison to north London. It didn't work out.

However, it looks that the club is still keen to sign the academy graduate this summer, regardless of the outcome.

4.Willian Borges da Silva

In north London, Willian has not been a popular signing. He came in off the tail of a season in which he scored 11 goals and assisted on nine more for Chelsea. So, on paper, this isn't a bad purchase at all.

But, after only one goal in the entire 2020-21 season, the fans' patience was wearing thin.

Before the transfer window closes, a move away looks quite likely, and Brazilian side Corinthians have tabled an offer and are sure of acquiring the winger, according to Fabrizio Romano.

5. Sead Kolasinac

Mikel Arteta has made it obvious that Kolasinac is not in his plans. Last summer, Kieran Tierney was signed as a new first-choice left-back, and Nuno Tavares was signed this year as a backup.

In January, the Bosnian was loaned to Schalke, where he earned a demotion. Because the Germans can no longer afford him, it looks that a move to Fenerbache is on the cards.

Ozil and Kolasinac have teamed up once more. Doesn't it bring a tear to your eye?

6. Reiss Nelson

Nelson was also included in that bid for Maddison, but, unlike Maitland-Niles, he appears to be on his way out of the Emirates before the August 31 deadline.

Crystal Palace are the favourites to sign the winger this summer, with a loan deal in the works once Nelson signs a new contract with the Gunners.

7. Runar Alex Runarsson

Runarsson joined Arsenal in September 2020, but after a string of poor performances, his future at the club is already in jeopardy.

The 26-year-old was due to join Altay Spor in Turkey at the end of July, but the deal fell through at the last minute.

The Gunners, on the other hand, appear content to let him go, and with Aaron Ramsdale already on board, his minutes in the Arsenal first team will be minimal.
