Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), Africa’s biggest reality TV show, is back for its 9th season.

The show will start on Sunday, July 28, 2024, with new twists and more drama. MultiChoice Nigeria, the organisers, announced the return during a media event in Lagos on Tuesday.

For the first time, contestants will enter the game as pairs. This new format promises thrilling competition and unexpected alliances.

The season will last for 71 days, and contestants will compete for cash and prizes worth ₦100 million.

Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content & Channels, West Africa at MultiChoice, expressed her excitement.

“Big Brother has become more than just a TV show. It’s a phenomenon,” Tejumola said. “It generates conversations everywhere, especially on social media.”

Tejumola also revealed some details about Season 9. “The theme will be announced at the premiere,” she said. “Housemates entering in pairs will bring fresh dynamics and unforgettable entertainment.”
