Be intentional, prioritize women; Tunoh tells student journalists in Unimaid

This is part of the outcome of a weekly seminar that focuses on the journalism profession beyond the four walls of the University, hosted by Mrs. Blessing Tunoh, the manager of Channels TV Maiduguri.
Tunoh, also an Alumni of the department is a visiting mentor supporting the campus radio and engaging students in career talks every Saturday.
She however emphasizes on the need for female journalists to consider reportage of the women as their primary in assignment in addition to other areas of interest in the profession.
Their male counterparts were also urged to see themselves as activists because of the vulnerability women adding that if journalists tell their stories it will go along way to help them.
Tunoh urges the Students to be intentional and think outside the box by working on their skills such as article writing and content creation.
She also encouraged them to be open to learning new things daily, self improve and be open to corrections.
The students on their part, expressed joy and gratitude for her selfless service towards them and the department.
