Beyoncé donates $6million to Combat COVID-19
Beyoncé Knowles announced a $6million donation to help recovery efforts to alleviate the effects of coronavirus in communities across four U.S. states.
Via her BeyGOOD Foundation, the singer and Twitter founder, Jack Dorsey's Start Small Fund, made the donation to donate the money to different organizations.
The Donation was explained by the BeyGOOD Foundation in a statement;
“In our major cities, African-Americans comprise a disproportionate number of workers in these indispensable occupations, and they will need mental health support and personal wellness care, including testing and medical services, food supplies and food deliveries, both during and after the crisis,”.
Queen Bey joins the long list of celebrities and well-meaning people who made donations to support others during the continuing pandemic.
