Nigerian Postal Service headquarters was cleared of flames.
The fire incident that happened on Wednesday affected the building of the NIPOST 's Staff Posting Unit.
The incident was confirmed by the Federation's Postmaster General and NIPOST chief executive Ismail Adewusi.
He assured Nigerians that the fire-outbreak will not impact the operations of NIPOST.
He said, “No cause for alarm over the fire that touched our Office of (Staff) Posting under the Personnel Unit. No damage to any vital document was recorded.
“It has also caused no disruption to any of our operations. We thank men of the Federal Fire Service who responded promptly and put the fire under control.”
The Gazette Nigeria reports that NIPOST, a government-owned and operated corporation, is the Nigerian postal administration responsible for providing postal services in Nigeria.
