Tiwa Savage was born and raised in the Nigerian city of Lagos. She is a Sony USA record label signed singer/songwriter. She earned her bachelor's degree in music from Berklee College of Music in 2007 and has since worked as a music producer in the business.
Tiwa started her career as a backup singer for Mary J. Blige, Sting, George Michael, Kelly Clarkson, and the Spice Girls in the United Kingdom. She competed in the X-Factor and placed in the top 24.
