Chicago Auto Show: Exclusive Charity Gala Raises $2.5M

Exclusive Charity Gala Raises $2.5M at 2025 Chicago Auto Show
Chicago’s most glamorous night of the year, First Look for Charity, returned in spectacular style, raising an impressive $2.5 million for 18 local organizations. The black-tie gala, a long-standing tradition, took place on the eve of the 2025 Chicago Auto Show, offering attendees an exclusive preview of the latest luxury vehicles before the grand public opening.
For over three decades, this prestigious event has combined philanthropy with high-end entertainment. Since its inception, it has raised nearly $63 million, bringing communities together in support of critical causes. This year’s event stayed true to its legacy, delivering an unforgettable evening filled with elegance, excitement, and charitable giving.
“It always means a lot to me to be here every year,” said Michele Means, one of the many dedicated attendees who return annually to support the cause.
The night unfolded with dazzling displays of world-class automobiles, from Ferraris to Rolls Royces, each drawing admiration from car enthusiasts. Richard Petitte, an excited guest, couldn’t hide his enthusiasm.
“Ferraris, they’re unbelievable. Rolls Royces, phenomenal. I love them. I’m Italian, so I like the Ferraris,” he said with a wide smile.
Beyond the breathtaking automotive exhibits, the evening was a true Chicago spectacle. Attendees arrived in stunning gowns and sharp tuxedos, blending elegance with festivity. The energy inside the event space was electric as musical performances filled the air, setting the perfect mood for a night of generosity.
“You’ll see people in gowns and tuxedos. It’s a very elegant event, but it’s also a lot of fun too. We have musical entertainment across the show floor,” said Jennifer Morand, general manager for the auto show. “This is one of Chicago’s largest charity fundraisers that happens in just one night, and our goal is to raise at least $2.5 million to hopefully climb closer to that $65 million mark since this event began.”
First Look for Charity isn’t just about luxury and entertainment. It serves a higher purpose—supporting vital community services. This year’s contributions will aid organizations that provide essential programs, including autism support services. Carrie Provenzale highlighted the significance of the funds raised.
“Funds used tonight will support our expansion of adult services. The need in the autism field is significant,” she said. “Any time we have a chance to raise more money, we’re able to expand our team and go out into the community and serve more families.”
The event also featured thrilling car giveaways, with ABC7’s Ravi Baichwal and Judy Hsu leading the way. Guests had the rare opportunity to experience some of the most powerful cars on the market before they hit the main auto show floor.
With another successful year in the books, First Look for Charity continues to solidify its place as one of the most impactful fundraising events in Chicago. As the Chicago Auto Show gears up to open its doors to the public, the city is already celebrating a major win—$2.5 million raised to uplift local charities and make a real difference in people’s lives.
