FAI Technik Secures Nigerian AMO Certification, Expands Maintenance Services for Nigerian-Registered Aircraft
FAI Technik, a leading German Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) service provider and a wholly-owned subsidiary of FAI Aviation Group Holding, has recently been granted an Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) certificate by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
This certification enables FAI Technik to perform a comprehensive range of MRO services on Nigerian-registered business aircraft worldwide.
The approval covers a wide scope of aircraft, including the Bombardier Challenger series (BD-100, CL-600, BD-700), Learjet 60, Hawker HS125, Beechcraft Premier 1/1A, Beechcraft King Air series, and Gulfstream models (G280, G450, G500, G550, G650, G650ER).
This certification allows FAI T
echnik to carry out maintenance tasks up to 1C level checks on these aircraft.
FAI Technik has been active in the Nigerian market for over a year, primarily supporting aircraft-on-ground (AOG) through collaborations with local Part-145 maintenance organisations.
With this NCAA approval, the company can now release Nigerian-registered aircraft under the FAI Technik brand. Services will be offered at their facilities in Nuremberg (NUE) and Berlin Brandenburg (BER) airports and in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria, with larger maintenance projects likely to be conducted in Nuremberg.
Michael Axtmann, Managing Director of FAI Technik, expressed enthusiasm for the certification: “We are pleased to receive this latest important approval from the Nigerian CAA.
FAI Technik is experiencing strong demand for maintenance support in Nigeria and Africa. We look forward to continuing to build strong relationships in Nigeria and growing our customer base. We remain committed to expanding our presence in this market.”
This strategic move is set to enhance FAI Technik’s footprint in the Nigerian and African aviation markets, positioning the company as a reliable partner for business aircraft maintenance needs.
