Nana Akufo-Addo, the President of Ghana, who is also the new President of the Economic Community of West African States ( ECOWAS), is on the 15-nation bloc's mission in Bamako.

On Sunday, transitional President Bah Ndaw received an invitation to take stock of the democratic process and to address the next measures to ensure that the deadline for the election is reached.

Everything action is against regional unity with the post-coup d'état August regrouping of now-embargo-free Mali.

The Ghanaian president is the first head of state to visit the nations of West Africa since the sanctions levied by ECOWAS were lifted.
