Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has promised to provide Adamawa United Football Club a brand new bus to facilitate its activities towards making Adamawa proud in sporting activities.
He made the pledge when he hosted the Permanent Secretary State Ministry of Sports and officials as well as players of the Club in the Council Chamber Government House, Yola Tuesday.
Governor Umaru Fintiri said his administration will not relent in its efforts towards supporting development of youths and sporting activities in the state for greater impacts in Adamawa.
The Governor congratulated the players and officials of the Club for making Adamawa proud in their victory and qualifying into the Nigeria Premier League Matches.
He said the present administration will do everything within its available resources to supporting the players for greater productivity and improved sporting activities in Adamawa.
Earlier in his remark, the Permanent Secretary State Ministry of Sports, Malam Bashiru Hamidu Husaini said the visit which was at the instance of the Governor, was to intimate him on the victory of the players after fifteen years struggle.
Malam Hussaini said the feat was attained through the efforts of the Governor in sporting activities within his short stay in office and expressed his appreciation in that regard.
He also informed Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri that the Adamawa Queens currently participating in the premiere league are on top on the table.
