Governor Fintiri’s Administration Highlights Rural Development Achievements at Media Parley
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, through his Principal Special Assistant on Media and Communications, George Kushi, has emphasized the administration’s progress in rural development during the third quarter media parley held on October 11, 2024.
The event focused on showcasing the government’s efforts to extend the benefits of its transformative agenda to the state’s rural communities.
While the administration has been lauded for its infrastructural development in urban areas, Kushi underscored the need to recognize the significant impact of government initiatives in rural regions.
According to Kushi, rural communities across Adamawa State are reaping the rewards of Governor Fintiri’s administration, with improvements in agriculture, rural electrification, road networks, and healthcare facilities being delivered at an unprecedented pace.
Kushi noted that the rural-urban migration trend has slowed, thanks to the booming agricultural sector and better access to essential services in rural areas.
The construction of rural roads, alongside the provision of medical facilities and electricity, is improving the quality of life for rural dwellers.
These projects, he added, demonstrate the administration’s commitment to its promise that “no one is left behind, and nothing will be left untouched.”
Governor Fintiri’s administration was also praised for its implementation of a N70,000 minimum wage, a pioneering move that sets a high standard for other states to follow.
Additionally, the “Fintiri Wallet” initiative continues to support over 20,000 beneficiaries, empowering women and youth with financial assistance to start small businesses and support their families.
The administration’s commitment to affordable public transportation was further highlighted, with the introduction of “Fresh Air” buses benefitting academic institutions and improving mobility for citizens across the state.
Kushi also addressed the significant reduction in crime, particularly the activities of the notorious “Shilla Boys,” attributing the progress to the administration’s security measures.
He expressed confidence that the “Fintiri Magic,” as it has been dubbed, is far from waning, with more developmental strides expected in the future.
Governor Fintiri’s administration continues to garner praise for its inclusive governance, with Kushi reaffirming that every sector of society has been positively impacted by the governor’s policies.
