Mr. Jaafar Jaafar, the proprietor of the Daily Nigerian (an online news medium), has been sued by Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje in a new civil complaint.

Ganduje had launched a civil suit against Jaafar Jaafar and Penlight Light Media Limited in an Abuja High Court with the Writ of Summons No CU/1598/2021 dated 15 July 2021.

The Writ of Summons stated,

“You are hereby commanded that within fourteen days after service, of this writ.

“Inclusive of the day of such service, you do cause an appearance to be entered for you.

“In an action at the suit of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and take notice that in default the Claimant may proceed and judgment may be given,” the court cautioned.

Remember that Governor Abdullahi Ganduje had previously dropped a lawsuit filed in Kano High Court demanding N2 billion in damages from Jaafar Jaafar and his online publication for posting a video showing the governor allegedly stuffing his pockets with dollars he claimed were contract kickbacks.
