Taraba’s Governor Kefas Champions Free Education, Job Creation in 2025 Budget

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has laid out a 2025 budget that reflects his administration’s commitment to the state’s overall growth and development.

According to his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications, Emmanuel Bello, the budget underscores a new chapter in Taraba’s history.

During an interaction with reporters, Bello highlighted that the proposed budget aligns with the governor’s policies, especially his flagship initiative of free education.

“A budget is one of the measures of an administration’s focus and line of thinking. You can easily tell the mindset of the leader by looking at how seriously the roadmap of a budget looks,” Bello remarked.

He described the 2025 budget as “plain and simple” while emphasising its potential to catalyse transformation in the state. “It is a statement of renewed energy and a brilliant recipe for monumental transformation,” he added.

The focus of Bello’s commentary was the governor’s emphasis on education. “Governor Kefas has remained resolute in the provisions of free education,” he stated.

Bello commended Kefas’s unwavering dedication to making education free and compulsory, a pledge that the governor has consistently championed since his campaign.

“An educated citizenry is truly liberated and empowered,” Bello continued. “Next year is bound to see more transformation in that sector to bring about the necessary and desired outcomes.”

The media aide also outlined Governor Kefas’s plans to prioritise security and job creation. He emphasised the governor’s background as a military officer, noting that security remains a deeply personal commitment for Kefas.

“The security of lives and properties has always been a major agenda of Governor Agbu Kefas,” Bello said.

“Taraba State, in the last year, has experienced increased safety. This budget shows the administration would spend more next year to address emerging challenges of security.”

With enhanced security, Bello projected significant opportunities for investment and job creation. He also noted that agriculture, a key sector in Taraba’s economy, is set to flourish under improved safety conditions.

The 2025 budget is not just a financial document; it is a reflection of Governor Kefas’s vision for a prosperous Taraba.

By giving economic growth, security, and education top priority, the administration hopes to create an atmosphere in which people can prosper.

As Bello aptly summarised, “Everyone is excited at the bigger prospect of the new budget.”
