Hacker group REvil (another name – Sodinokibi) published on US President Donald Trump the first part of compromising material for which they demand a ransom, Forbes magazine reported.

Last week, hackers targeted a law firm in New York with many celebrities like Lady Gaga and Madonna as its clients.

The attackers requested $21 million in ransom material on the singers for 756 gigabytes. They published the data into the "darknet" without receiving money.

“The next person we will publish is Donald Trump. There is an election race, and we found a lot of “dirty linen” in time,” the hackers’ message led the magazine.

The unknown people had taken a week to satisfy their demands.

It became clear later that the FBI investigated the incident, and classified it as terrorism. The hackers, in response, posted the first part of the e-mails, which Trump somehow reported.

Publication of the magazine clarifies that there was nothing in the released letters that could harm the President of the United States.
