Heartwarming: Called2Care Donates School Supplies to 153 Yola Pupils
YOLA, ADAMAWA STATE – January 24th was a special day for 153 junior secondary school pupils at Government Day Junior Secondary School, Damare, Yola South.
Called2Care Global Outreach, a non-profit organization based in Yola, marked the International Day of Education by donating essential learning materials to support the students.
Excitement filled the air as the pupils received books, pens, pencils, and erasers to aid their studies.
Teachers were not left out, as they got packs of dustless chalk to enhance their classroom experience.
The event brought together school officials, local leaders, and well-wishers.
Among them were the school’s Principal, Mallam Abubakar Ahmed, the District Head of Damare B, Alhaji Ismaila Mohammed Barkindo, and other community leaders who witnessed the generous act.
Mallam Abubakar Ahmed expressed his deep gratitude for the support, calling it a “humanitarian gesture” that would significantly impact the pupils’ education.
He recalled Called2Care’s previous contributions, including a scholarship program that helped 11 students enroll in JSS1, as well as the provision of learning materials and school uniforms.
Mr. Tersoo Tsafa, Executive Director of Called2Care Global Outreach, acknowledged the warm reception from the school and community.
He reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to helping out-of-school children, particularly girls, return to the classroom.
“We will continue designing initiatives to support underserved communities,” he assured.
The pupils, beaming with smiles, clutched their new supplies with excitement.
For many, this donation was more than just books and pens—it was a renewed hope for a brighter future.
