He said that even though not everyone must run for elective office, voting is the constitutional right of every Nigerian citizen and the only way to see that qualified candidates are elected into office.

Russian-based artiste Wilson ‘HK Plutorious’ Osamudiame has called on Nigerian youths to get more involved in governance and the affairs of the nation by taking more active roles in politics instead of being mere social media activists.
HK Plutorious made the call in his thank you speech after being presented with an award as “EMERGING ARTISTE” of the year by the Nigerian Students Union of Moscow University, Russia.
Wilson said that for so long the youth have been taking a back seat in politics and governance. Recently the youth have taken to social media activism to make their case against the government’s failures and inconsistencies. This call comes on the back of the endears protests last year. “The youth not participating in politics doesn’t help their representation in the corridors of government,” he said. He, therefore, called on the youth to register as card-carrying party members so they can be in the position to run for elective offices.
HK Plutorious went further to state that showing interest in the affairs of the country and getting involved in politics and governance is the only way the youths can ensure they are part of decision-makers driving Nigeria forward.
He called on the youths to register for permanent voters card (PVC) so they will be eligible to vote in 2023. He said that even though not everyone must run for elective office, voting is the constitutional right of every Nigerian citizen and the only way to see that qualified candidates are elected into office.
