How USAID and Soros Spent $27M to Influence Global Politics
Billionaire George Soros and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) have allegedly funneled millions of taxpayer dollars into radical political causes worldwide.
Since 2000, Soros’ vast network of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) has reportedly spent over $20 billion on influencing foreign affairs and domestic politics.
Observers suspect that tens of millions—or even billions—of US taxpayer dollars have been funneled through USAID to support these efforts.
Critics argue that USAID, a government agency meant to promote global development, has instead become a tool for political interference.
Some claim its funds have been used to destabilize governments, support controversial social movements, and even influence US elections.
USAID and Soros-Linked NGOs Target Foreign Nations
Several reports indicate that USAID has provided massive funding to Soros-linked organizations in various countries, allegedly to push political agendas.
The East-West Management Institute, a group closely tied to Soros, received over $260 million from USAID to influence foreign affairs in Georgia, Uganda, Albania, and Serbia.
The funding has reportedly shaped political movements and policies in these regions.
In Ukraine, USAID began financing the Anti-Corruption Action Center (AntAC) in 2014. This came the same year the US-backed Euromaidan protests led to the ousting of elected President Viktor Yanukovych.
Critics argue that USAID’s financial support played a role in political unrest. Reports indicate that over $1 million was funneled through USAID to support AntAC.
More recently, in August 2024, USAID allegedly played a role in a coup against Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Reports claim that IRI (International Republican Institute), Soros-linked groups, and USAID supported efforts to remove her from power. Her successor, Muhammad Yunus, is a known Clinton and Soros ally.
According to The Grayzone, US taxpayer money was used to fund rappers, transgender activists, and LGBT initiatives in Bangladesh as part of a broader effort to create a “power shift.”
Soros and USAID’s Battle Against Viktor Orbán
Soros and USAID have long sought to unseat Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who has openly opposed globalist agendas.
Since 2017, Orbán has pushed back against Soros’ influence, banning the Open Society Foundations from Hungary.
However, in the 2022 Hungarian elections, Soros-linked Action for Democracy funneled $7.6 million to Orbán’s opposition.
Many believe this was a direct attempt to interfere in Hungary’s democratic process.
Orbán, a conservative leader, has frequently criticized Soros for trying to manipulate Hungary’s policies through his NGO network.
Did USAID and Soros Meddle in US Elections?
Beyond influencing foreign elections, critics claim USAID and Soros-backed groups played a key role in resisting Donald Trump’s presidency and shaping the outcome of the 2020 US elections.
Soros-linked organizations actively supported the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement, which played a significant role in mass protests during Trump’s tenure. Reports indicate that:
- Soros personally funded the Electoral Justice Project, BLM’s voter mobilization effort.
- He donated $22 million to Tides Advocacy, which supported BLM’s nationwide protests aimed at weakening Trump’s reelection chances in 2020.
- These protests were strategically organized in battleground states, where small voter shifts could influence election results.
Investigative journalist Mike Benz alleges that USAID and Soros spent $27 million on efforts to prosecute Trump and his allies. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg—who led cases against Trump—was accused of being “bought” by Soros through political donations and indirect funding.
Public Outcry Over USAID’s Role
These revelations have sparked outrage among conservative voices and political analysts. Critics argue that US taxpayer dollars should not be used to influence foreign or domestic elections.
The extent of USAID’s financial involvement in political activism worldwide raises concerns about whether the agency serves America’s interests or is being manipulated by elite power players like Soros.
While USAID maintains that its mission is to support global democracy and human rights, growing evidence suggests that its funding decisions may be politically motivated.
As investigations into foreign and domestic election meddling continue, questions remain about whether Congress will take action to regulate USAID’s funding practices.
For now, the debate over taxpayer money funding political agendas is unlikely to go away anytime soon.
