Sen. Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, the state's immediate past governor of Adamawa State, repulsed by a recently leaked audio linked to one Suleiman Adamu, Yola South local government caretaker chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of Adamawa state, has revealed that he has been devoted to President Muhammadu Buhari's objective of selfless service to Nigerians since he was elected in 2015.

The former governor distanced himself from the viral audio link of Suleiman screaming abuses at President Buhari in an exclusive phone conversation with our correspondent.

According to him, the meeting they had with some Yola South APC veterans was in keeping with the party's national leaders' appeal to reconcile all warring groups for a total victory in the upcoming 2023 elections.

“The unity Yola South is in dare need of considering the arch enemies existing among the stakeholders, who we are looking for a way to seal up the loopholes as it can be injurious, catastrophic, and cancerous to the overall unity of the party in the state” he said.

He was concerned that his name would be dragged into the gutter as a result of his unwavering support for President Muhammadu Buhari, whom he regarded as his leader and father.

The former Governor, on the other hand, reaffirmed his devotion to President Buhari as his political leader, promising to back him up at all times, despite the fact that the audio is unrelated to him.

”As a leader of our party in Adamawa, I felt I’m duty-bound to protect, unite and defend the interest of our party. This I can also do in defending the interest of President Buhari, my leader, and my father.

“I had a privilege of good parental upbringing, our culture and norms do not permit us to rain abuses on our leaders. This I have as a principle never to insults, fight or join issues with anybody, talk more of going to the extent of identifying with anybody that can do that against President Buhari who is much more my father.” Bindow said

While recounting how he was ensnared in a web of devious bad guys out to undermine his connection with Buhari and his political career, he reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to his leader, standing firm on the the solid rock of obedience.

Suleiman had denied wishing President Buhari's death with coronavirus and claimed that the leaked recording was doctored by APC foes.
