Below is the entire story ...

The 'Lollipop' artist, taking to social media, licked the flame of controversy by being the first artist to openly support the sitting president in the election next week.

The MC clarified his position, along with a photo of himself with Trump, saying:

“Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership,” Wayne wrote.

“He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done. 🤙🏾”

The rapper referred to the $500 billion packages introduced by the Trump administration to build wealth, jobs, and resources for the black community. The proposal has been accused by some opponents of being heavy on promises and low on actual information.

Trump was previously endorsed by rappers Lil Pump and 50 Cent because of his tax policy, but obviously the latter changed his mind.

Although Trump has not been directly supported by Ice Cube, the rapper recently also met with Trump officials on the Platinum Initiative.

Many fans of the "Uproar" rapper were not pleased with his announcement. Questlove tweeted,
"What have I …what have I….what have I done to deserve this?"

Yvette Nicole Brown reacted to Wayne's tweet, writing,
"There’s nothing a white supremacist could offer me that is worth my people or the lives of any other group of people in this country who are suffering."
