Minors Detained For Protest Against Bad Governance Freed
76 freed minors who were detained in Abuja for their alleged role in the EndBadGovernance nationwide protest were freed, and they walked into a rousing welcome at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport Tuesday night, 5th November.
They arrived in the city in the company of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf aboard Max aircraft around 9:57 pm to the waiting hands of top government officials, relations, and well-wishers waiting to welcome them back.
Tears of joy rolled down the cheeks of many at the airport as the visibly malnourished underage alighted from the jumbo jet, with an intermittent chorus and shout of Allahu Akbar (God is the Greatest) renting the air.
The 76 minors were moved into a waiting luxury bus for a 35-minute journey to Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital, tucked in the sleepy quarters of Giginyu quarters located within the precinct of DSS headquarters in the city.
Governor Yusuf, on the other hand, was conveyed in an 18-seater SUV bus in the company of his deputy, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, the Speaker of the State Assembly, Alhaji Isma’ila Falgore, several key state officials, and other prominent figures.
