Allnigeriasoccer.com has come up with a Nigeria-eligible starting XI based on players valuations from Transfermarkt and several Super Eagles stars did not make the cut.

Stoke City loanee Oghenekaro Etebo, Deportivo de La Coruña's Francis Uzoho, Rangers' Joe Aribo, Leganes' Kenneth Omeruo, Udinese's William Troost-Ekong, Al-Nassr's Ahmed Musa and Paderborn's Jamilu Collins have missed out on selection because there are players who play in their positions with better transfer market values.

Nantes winger Moses Simon and Bordeaux star Samuel Kalu are also out of the starting line-up.

The total estimated market values of the  players in the Nigerian starting eleven is  221.25 million euros (approximately N89.6 billion in Nigerian currency).

Daniel Akpeyi has seen his market value soar this season on the back of his imperious displays for Kaizer Chiefs in the South African ABSA Premiership.

The former Warri Wolves man is worth 750,000 euros and starts in goal ahead of Uzoho and Ikechukwu Ezenwa.

In a 4-2-3-1 formation usually deployed by manager Gernot Rohr, the four-man defence contains €22m-rated Bukayo Saka at left-back, Nigeria Football Federation targets Felix Uduokhai and Jordan Torunarigha, who are worth €8.5m and €8m respectively, in central defence and €10m-rated Chelsea product Ola Aina at right back.

Nigeria's most expensive player Wilfred Ndidi, who is worth €45 million starts in holding midfield along with Bournemouth's Philip Billing who is valued at €18 million.

Everton's Alex Iwobi is the most expensive Nigerian playmaker at €32m and he is flanked by RB Leipzig's Ademola Lookman who is rated at €17m and Villarreal super kid Samuel Chukwueze who is valued at €30m.

Lille's Victor Osimhen tops the list of Nigerian strikers at 30 million euros.

In truth, this could be the best Nigerian starting line-up if the Nigeria Football Federation are successful in convincing the likes of Saka, Uduokhai, Torunarigha, Billing and Lookman to pledge their international future to the Super Eagles.
