The Nigeria's Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, has expressed trust that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) will be able to eliminate terrorists and other criminal elements from Nigeria in the immediate future.

He made the pledge at an Easter lunch with members of 013 Quick Response Force Minna, where he expressed his condolences to the families and coworkers of the three Airmen killed in Allawa operations on April 1, 2021.

President Muhammadu Buhari's and the Nigerian Air Force's commitment to putting an end to rebellion and armed banditry was reaffirmed by Air Marshal Amao.

Air Vice-Marshal Remiqius Ekeh, representing the Chief of Air Staff, praised the 013 Quick Response Force and the Air Component of Operation GAMA AIKI, as well as the brave officers, airmen, and airwomen, and urged them to remain steadfast in the fight against insurgency and banditry.

He urged them not to abandon their loyalty and hard work in order to fulfill the mandate of safeguarding the lives and property of Nigerians.

Attempts to recover the crashed NAF Alpha Jet Aircraft, which was declared missing on March 31, 2021, are still ongoing, according to the NAF chief.

He insists that the argument that the plane was shot down by insurgents is false.

He promised that after the investigations are completed, all available facts will be made public.
