Yola, Adamawa State — The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved 16 new undergraduate programmes for Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, with effect from the 2025/2026 academic session.
The approval, which significantly expands the university’s academic offerings, includes programmes in the arts, sciences, technology, and communication, with an admission quota of 800 students.
The newly approved programmes are B.A. Arabic, B.A. Islamic Studies, B.A. English, B.Sc. Cyber Security, B.Sc. Data Science, B.Sc. Information and Communication Technology, B.Sc. Information Systems, and B.Sc. Software Engineering.
Other degree programmes include B.Sc. Environmental Management, B.Sc. Meteorology, B.Sc. Forensic Science, B.Sc. Applied Geophysics, B.Sc. Petroleum Chemistry, B.Sc. Mass Communication, B.Sc. Broadcasting, and B.Sc. Journalism and Media Studies.
