A letter of apology written by hospital staff to the medical director of the hospital has left many people wondering if the two are rivals.
The viral letter is believed to have been written by a staff of Nigeria’s University of Uyo Teaching hospital and addressed to the Chief Medical Director.
It is so clear in the letter that the writer wrote it under duress to maintain his or her job.
The tone and length of the letter do not convey any remorse or respect for the recipient, rather, it suggests that there are a lot of unresolved issues between the two parties.
In the formal letter, aside from the address of the sender and the receiver, the subject of the letter and the sign-off, the body of the letter contains only two words which read: “Sorry sir.”
No mention was made of the reason for the lateness and a possible promise to ensure the offence does not recur.
