President Bola Tinubu Nominates Seven New Ministers

Seven new ministers that President Bola Tinubu recently nominated to join his cabinet were sworn in on Monday.

Other members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) and the new ministers’ families attended the swearing-in ceremony, which took place in the State House’s Council Chambers in Abuja.

Following the citation of their profiles by State House Director of Information Abiodun Oladunjoye, the new cabinet members took the oath of office in groups of three and four.

The first four are Yusuf Ata (State, Housing and Urban Development); Dr. Suwaiba Ahmad (State, Education); Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu (State, Foreign Affairs); and Idi Maiha (Minister of Livestock Development).

Muhammadu Dingyadi (Labour & Employment), Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda (Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction), and Dr. (Mrs.) Jumoke Oduwole (Trade and Investment) then took their oaths in front of the president.

Ten ministers were reassigned to new ministerial portfolios two weeks ago by President Tinubu, who also dismissed five others and nominated seven new ministers for confirmation by the Senate last week.
