Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
Speaking to some of the serving Corp members in Daura who paid him an Eid-el-kabir homage on Tuesday, President Muhammadu Buhari verbalized how he always had a good opinion of General Yakubu Gowon's NYSC policy, which is exposing youths to opportunities for uniting the Nation.
He urged Corp members to seize such an opportunity to travel around the country and learn people's different ways of life.
The president gave the Corp members two cows from his ranch, twenty bags of rice, and the sum of one million Naira.
Umaru Babayo, the Corp Liason Officer, expressed his gratitude to the president for his efforts, and sacrifices in restoring peace in the country, and the policies to diversify the economy with agriculture as the main driver.
He also stated how the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruk Umat Faruk has shown nothing but pure love and kindness to serving Corp members in his sphere. He is also grateful for how the community supports them.
