High-Profile Scholar Prof Clement Augustine Named ADSU Vice Chancellor
A distinguished scholar in Monogastric Animal Nutrition, Professor Augustine Clement, has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi.
The appointment followed the recommendation of the university’s Governing Council and was approved by the Visitor, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
Announcing the decision in Yola, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Professor Maxwell Gidado, SAN, revealed that 23 candidates competed for the prestigious position.
After a rigorous selection process by the joint Council and Senate Selection Board, Professor Clement emerged as the best choice for the role.
Professor Clement is set to assume office on February 5, 2025.
His appointment marks a new chapter for the institution, as he brings extensive expertise and leadership in the academic field to the university.
