In the Ajah region of Lagos State, Nigeria, a guy was detained after allegedly murdering his fiancée for ceremonial purposes and sleeping with her corpse for six days.

Ifeanyi Njoku, the accused, and his 24-year-old girlfriend, Precious Okeke, allegedly shared an apartment on Oke Street, where the horrible crime was committed. According to Punch Newspapers, Njoku allegedly killed his lover and indulged in intimate intercourse with her remains for nearly a week for ceremonial purposes after being advised by a native witch doctor.

On the seventh day, the suspect was apprehended. The awful murder was discovered after neighbors complained to the estate's administration about a foul odor coming from the accused's flat. Following this, law officers arrived on the site and conducted a search of the flat, where they located Okeke's decomposing body.

The smell of the dead had been bothering neighbors in the property and other people, according to a source named as Elizabeth John. So they enlisted the assistance of the estate chairman to clarify what was going on in the flat, and while inspecting the premises, they discovered the girl's body.

Njoku was then apprehended and transported to the Lamgbasa Police Station. Njoku allegedly confessed to killing his lover six days ago for a money ritual when officers questioned him. He stated that a native doctor told him to have sex with his girlfriend's corpse for seven days in order to fulfill his wishes.

Njoku allegedly offered the officers a large bribe to cover up the crime, according to the officers. Njoku and the victim had only recently moved into the estate, according to further research.

Meanwhile, state Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin revealed that two suspects, Njoku and Mbam Atunmufor, 36, were arrested and sent to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.
