Davos in Trouble? Massive Semafor Business Summit Hits Washington

Semafor Business Summit Hits Washington
Semafor, the New York-based news media company, is gearing up to host a major business conference in Washington, D.C., in April, with over 200 CEOs from around the world already confirming attendance.
Justin B. Smith, Semafor’s CEO, credited Donald Trump’s election victory for accelerating the project’s growth.
The company is also hoping that Trump officials will attend the event.
Semafor’s past conferences have attracted influential figures, including Tucker Carlson, former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, Microsoft President Brad Smith, and former Chinese Ambassador to the U.S. Qin Gang.
Unlike the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Semafor’s conferences focus on energy, finance, and technology discussions—steering clear of the dystopian themes often associated with Davos.
With Washington emerging as a new hub for global business dialogue, could Semafor’s summit pose a challenge to Davos’ dominance?
