Senator Barau Expresses Sympathy for Maiduguri Flood Victims

Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the people and government of Borno State following the catastrophic flooding that has displaced thousands of residents.

In a statement released through his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau, who also serves as the First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, expressed his deep concern and solidarity with those affected by the natural disaster.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the government and people of Borno State over the devastating floods that have forced thousands of residents out of their homes,” Senator Barau said in the statement.

He also prayed for comfort and strength for those who have been displaced by the floods.

“As we offer our deepest sympathies to the victims, I pray to Allah (SWT) to bring comfort to those affected and to restore normalcy to the lives of all those impacted. Amin Ya Allah,” he added.

The floods in Maiduguri have caused widespread damage, leaving many people in urgent need of assistance and forcing numerous families to evacuate their homes.

Local authorities and relief organisations are working tirelessly to address the immediate needs of those affected, while the call for support and prayers from leaders like Senator Barau has provided a measure of comfort to the impacted communities.
