Shocking Allegation Exposed: Dalung’s Misleading Claims Against Governor Fintiri Debunked
A top PDP member from Adamawa Central, Sanusi Hong, has countered former Sports Minister Solomon Dalung’s claims against Governor Umaru Fintiri. Dalung accused the governor of detaining a teenager who shared a TikTok video criticizing the poor condition of his school.
Sanusi dismissed these allegations as baseless, stating that no resident of Adamawa has gone missing.
He emphasized, “Barrister Solomon Dalung’s accusations against Governor Fintiri on a viral TikTok video are baseless and misleading.”
He added that Governor Fintiri remains focused on his Urban-Rural Renewal Mandate, aimed at uplifting Adamawa State’s infrastructure, education, and healthcare systems.
Sanusi questioned Dalung’s credibility, asking why someone in Plateau State would claim knowledge of a missing person in Adamawa, a fact unknown to the local population.
“This raises questions about Dalung’s sources and motives,” Sanusi remarked.
Instead of pushing unverified claims, Sanusi advised Dalung to address his own political struggles within the APC.
He criticized Dalung’s attempts to tarnish the reputation of a governor known for progressive policies.
Highlighting Governor Fintiri’s achievements, Sanusi noted the governor’s commitment to education, including paying WAEC/NECO fees for public school students and renovating schools across the state.
Additionally, Fintiri’s administration promptly pays salaries and is one of the few in Nigeria to implement the N70,000 minimum wage.
Sanusi continued, stating, “Governor Fintiri received the 2023 Best Governor of the Year Award for his contributions, particularly in the education sector.”
He further rejected Dalung’s accusations that Governor Fintiri ordered an assault on the teenager who posted the TikTok video.
“These claims are purely political mischief,” Sanusi declared.
Sanusi urged Dalung to verify facts before making accusations, noting that as a former minister and lawyer, Dalung should know better.
“I advise Dalung to visit Adamawa or consult the Federal Ministry of Education to witness the progress firsthand,” he said.
Sanusi while concluding his statement portrayed Dalung as a leader whose influence is fading, urging him to regain his sense of responsibility.
“Dalung is becoming a fallen Iroko tree – from Minister to social media attacker,” Sanusi concluded.
