Southern Kaduna Killings: Sultan blames politicians, describes killings as madness

Traditional rulers in the nineteen northern states and the Abuja met Monday in Kaduna over the worrying spate of insecurity in the area and nation.

Under the aegis of the Northern Traditional Council, the meeting of the monarchs was chaired by its chairman and sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar lll, and held at the council's Lugard Hall Secretariat in the metropolis.

In his opening address, the Sultan described the killings in Southern Kaduna as "madnesss," calling on those engaged in the carnage to stop immediately.

He said,

“The Southern Kaduna killings is madness and has to be stopped immediately. No man in his right senses go on a killing spree of innocent people under whatever guise.”

Abubakar has tied up politicians for being behind the ongoing crisis in the southern part of Kaduna

He, however, cautioned that they would be eaten by their own traps if the minds behind such crimes did not stop there.
