Today we open the #ModelSpot with young and talented emerging model Swanky Kakz as she is being mentioned on the social media by friends, who took some time to share a little about her and her desires in the building a hive modeling Industry.
Q. Tell me about yourself?
Swanky: Am kakuran Francis the first daughter in the family of five… I love singing, dancing, sports, research and traveling… Am a 200 level student in MAUTECH, studying management technology. I’m a lady who believes in pushing hard, no matter the obstacles, I love studying and excelling. I’m into model, and presently the second runner up Miss Northeast Nigeria. A believer (Christian), Helping the poor and the needy is actually not a problem whenever I come across them.
Q. Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in this career?
Swanky: “I grew up watching TV shows, and it inspired me, to practice my walks, posing, and try new looks. I decided trying modeling recently and have done a few shoots with photographers. I did some bridals, athletic wears, and lingerie shoots. I love them all!
I’ve always had a keen interest in fashion, but never felt I was the right size shape for typical modeling work, I was approached by few friends and some modeling agency so I soon realized this was something I could pursue because mine love Poshing and showing African beauty… After receiving positive feedback from the small campaigns I have worked on. It inspired me to want to continue this with full passion. As a full-time career.
Q. Tell us about your education: Have you attended fashion modeling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken?
Swanky: I did my primary school in the Lutheran church of Christ in Nigeria no 3 federal low cost (L.C.C.N). My secondary school at Ecwa Academy Demsa (E.A.D). Am presently pursuing my degree at Moddibo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH).
Well, I’ve never attended any fashion modeling classes. Even though I had few coaching classes while I was contesting for miss northeast Nigeria… 90% of my modeling ideas are from TV shows like fashion 1 and personal creativity has done out of passion.
I’ve learned how to pose and carry myself around as a model… How to respond to comments from fans, dressing codes for different occasions, walking steps
Q. Coming to your experiences in the contest Miss Northeast Nigeria, Do you think you’re fit to be a model?
Swanky: During and after the contest I felt it was the best thing that has ever happened to me, the experience I got contesting with other models… the comments and the position I got after the contest made me more confident about myself so I don’t only feel I’m fit to be a model I deserve to be one
Q. Let’s play a little, Are you more of a hunter or a gatherer?
Q. How many did you gather by now?
Swanky: You know there are a lot of guys who think they are dating you not knowing they just joining a cue… When there’s a real one… So I can’t count because I don’t know how many of them out there thinks so
Q. Hahahahaha…You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
Swanky: Blue because it’s my best color
Q. What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progress in this field?
Swanky: My goals are for me and my pictures to become popular so as to get opportunities from modeling agencies to work and earn money from it… So far so good success is a gradual process no rushing things are going well and with my position as the 2nd runner up miss northeast Nigeria I’m getting to be known and with hopes gradually my goal will be achieved…
Q. What was your take home, after becoming the 2nd runner up?
Swanky: A crown and beautiful experiences from contesting with other beauty queens… I came back home with so much confidence in myself …
Q. How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly?
Swanky: I’m friendly, I interact with people patiently, jovial, easy to talk to.. And a good sense of humor
Q. What do you think about when you’re alone in your car?
Swanky: Well I don’t own a car
Q. What about during your leisure time
Swanky: First I communicate with God sing songs and then proceed to think of how to make a good living how to pursue my interest and carrier in life and get success and make my family and friends proud of me.
Q. In a relationship?
Q. Who the lucky one?
Swanky: It’s actually confidential for now
Q. Would you be proud of showcasing your boyfriend?
Swanky: Oh yes but not now due to some personal reasons
Q. Do you intend to dump modeling after Your boyfriend ask you to?
Swanky: He won’t even ask me to, because he loves it and intends to pursue it with me… So I don’t think it
Q. What about if he proposed you and ask you to dump it?
Swanky: You see love involves sacrifices so if my husband to think its a bad idea to continue modeling I’ll not think it, I’ll just sacrifice my modeling career
Q. What’s your favorite ’90s jam?
Swanky: Celene Dion my heart will go on
Q. If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why?
Swanky: Lion because I want to always be the head not the tail
Q. What was the last gift you gave someone?
Swanky: A black wrist band
Q. Looking at your physique, Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?
Swanky: Yes I do and I don’t really go to the gym but I do my person exercises
Q, Do you have any limitations in your career?
Swanky: Yea I do… I don’t take pictures that show any of my private parts no matter what and when I do appear in videos I don’t expose too much skin outside.
Q. State your availability: would you travel? Work full-time, part-time? Any hours?
Swanky: It depends, but part-time for now.
Q. What advice would you give emerging models looking at your experiences in your early years in the career?
Swanky: To new models or ladies trying to be a beauty queen must advise is… Do not look down on yourself because of challenges nothing good comes easy.. Just work hard and believe in yourself and you will see result no one is born a loser it depends on your mindset so before venturing into modeling or contesting make sure you work on your self… Patience is a virtue keep that in mind thank you…
