Tinubu Will Win 2027: APC Lawmaker, Hon. Kolawole
Tinubu will win the 2027 presidential election because Nigeria is bouncing back to life under his leadership, says Hon. Kolawole Davidson Akinlayo. He believes the changes Nigerians are beginning to feel today will earn President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a second term, without doubt.
Akinlayo, who represents Ido/Osi, Moba, and Ilejemeje Federal Constituency of Ekiti State in the House of Representatives, spoke passionately about the future of the country. During a chat with journalists in Abuja, he said Tinubu’s government is turning Nigeria around and bringing back hope to millions.
“I am strongly convinced that the President will return in 2027. Nigeria is coming back to life again, and we want continuity,” he declared.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker said Nigerians can already see changes happening—especially in the economy and security sector. He praised Tinubu’s decisions as bold and timely, helping to slowly rebuild confidence across the nation.
He stressed that Nigeria, though wounded by years of hardship and poor decisions, is now healing.
Akinlayo also addressed claims that some regions are being left out in federal appointments. He pushed back strongly, saying that all six geopolitical zones have gotten fair treatment under Tinubu’s administration.
“The President has demonstrated equity across all regions—North or South—when it comes to appointments. Those crying foul are simply those who have been left out of the current arrangement,” he said.
He noted that the North still holds the highest number of key appointments, urging critics to base their comments on facts, not emotions. According to him, those who have not benefited directly are using false claims to stir division.
The lawmaker also turned the spotlight on Ekiti State politics. He confidently predicted that Governor Biodun Oyebanji will win re-election in 2026 without any serious opposition. Akinlayo applauded Oyebanji’s leadership style, describing the state as a “model of smart governance” in Nigeria.
“Ekiti is on the right track. People are seeing results. You don’t need to convince them with words; the work speaks,” he noted.
On national security, the APC lawmaker made an emotional appeal. He called on the government to invest more in modern technology to fight growing insecurity, especially in hotspots like the North-East.
He proposed that the military and security agencies should use drones and real-time surveillance tools to detect and respond to threats. “The methods we are currently using have not worked well. I would advise the government to invest more in technology,” he said.
Akinlayo stressed that relying on traditional methods is no longer enough. The level of violence and suffering in some areas, he said, has reached a breaking point. He believes a combined strategy of dialogue and strong action—what he called the “carrot and stick” method—can lead to real peace.
“We cannot continue this way—too many lives are being lost and families displaced,” he added, his voice firm with concern.
He also shared strong views about electoral integrity. He opposed a proposal by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that would allow political parties to nominate replacements when lawmakers die or resign.
Akinlayo warned that such a move would destroy the people’s voice and create deeper problems within parties. “Allowing party leaders to handpick replacements without consulting the people would only breed rancour. It undermines internal democracy and the will of the electorate,” he cautioned.
He urged INEC to focus on policies that strengthen democracy, not weaken it. He insisted that leaders must always remember their loyalty lies with the people, not party interests.
As the interview drew to a close, Akinlayo stood firmly behind Tinubu’s vision for Nigeria. He said it’s not about party pride but about rescuing a nation that was sinking. With more time, he believes the president will prove doubters wrong.
From fighting insecurity to promoting fair representation and defending voter rights, Akinlayo positioned himself as a voice for continuity and reform.
For him, 2027 is not a guessing game—it’s a done deal. Tinubu will win, not just because of party loyalty, but because many Nigerians now feel a pulse where there used to be silence.
