As vigilantes stormed the NASS with guns and charms in search of legislative support, on Tuesday, 18th 2021.

descended on the National Assembly Complex in Abuja to seek legislative
support for their operations across the country.
The group mobilized a huge number of people to attend a one-day public
hearing held by the Senate Committee on Interior on bills to form the
Nigeria Hunters Council, a bill to establish the Nigeria Peace Corps,
and other bills.
of the group, who were armed with a variety of local firearms, demanded
that the bill be passed so that they could supplement the work of other
security agencies in safeguarding lives and property and preventing

denied the group entry but requested that the group's leadership attend
the public hearing.
The situation resulted in gridlock at the federal secretariat, as drivers sought alternate routes to avoid becoming trapped.
