A suspected serial rapist, Knakumo Aniso, has been apprehended by a team of Bayelsa State Volunteers at popular Tombia Market in Yenagoa the state capital on Monday.

Aniso is said to have been molesting young women for years now teaming up with his gang members.

The suspect, Knakumo Aniso, was nabbed, two weeks after breaking into the house of a 4-month-pregnant lady identified as Gesiere, and raping her at gunpoint.

Another lady, Peace, also accused Aniso of raping her on Monday, May 6, 2019, under the Tombia bridge. The suspect has since been handed over to the police.

She added, that she was held at gunpoint while on board on a tricycle which popularly known Keke Napep.

Knakumo, however, was out of luck as he was arrested by personnel of the volunteer’s group through a tip-off.

The suspect has been handed over to men of the Nigeria Police Force, Bayelsa Command, for further investigation and prosecution.
