Zenith Bank of Nigeria launches automated voice banking services

The launch is in line with lockdown steps that many states have implemented to curb coronavirus spread (COVID-19).

Zenith Bank has launched an automated voice banking service, an interactive voice response (IVR) system that allows customers to do simple banking transactions over the telephone.

Customers are issued a dedicated telephone line, which they can dial using their registered telephone numbers and perform banking transactions by following the IVR instructions.

Customers can pay DSTV / GOTV bills via the IVR, filter their accounts, block their cards, request an email account statement, show last five transactions, move money, buy airtime and more.


It introduced 'Zenith Timeless Account,' allowing free Nigerians 55 years of age and above the bank.

The bank has launched its 'Zenith Save4me' account, savings account with high-interest targets.

Zenith collaborated with Visa to launch their internet banking application 'Dubai Visa Service.'


Commenting on the move, Ebenezer Onyeagwu, CEO of Zenith Bank said: "Zenith's automated voice banking service is built to ensure a truly awesome experience that will provide comfort for our teeming clients.

“The bank remains a clear leader in the digital space with several firsts in the deployment of innovative products, solutions and alternative channels that ensure convenience, speed and safety of transactions.”

The self- product is equipped with multi- authentication mechanism to ensure maximum security.

In addition to the new launch, Zenith has launched many items to support the country's financial sector over the last two months.
